I agree 100%. I was in the infantry also and there are things that went on in the barracks that I will never repeat. I started spending my time off post when I had down time. There was less of a chance of going to jail.

Actually I think there are. Apparently when she went to whatever college there was some M.D. doing research on posture. I'm not sure if all the incoming freshmen were required to participate, but IIRC she did.

Of course those photos are locked up somewhere very secure.

It was put to me very simply a few years back by someone who had been in for a while: "Army women [bleep]."

Taking into account the theory that there are no absolutes, there might be a few "good girls" who join up and stay chaste, but I think they're few and far between these days. At least judging by what I've seen by working with and around them for the last 20+ years.

I agree. What a bunch of prudes some people here are; you can see the same thing on a lot of beaches.

I'll tell you one little anecdote. There was a very attractive female soldier who was embroiled in a little controversy like this on a post I was stationed at in Germany. Seems there was a video tape circulating of her having sex with a couple of my fellow infantrymen (from my unit). The rumor mill just ran wild with this. The story evolved until it had her having sex with the whole company or with various squads or that she used to be a porn star before joining the Army. The existence of this video tape was sworn to by many- many claimed to have even seen it but could never cough the actual video up when asked. It was always "oh, Joe Schmo over in Bravo has it right now".

Now, the thing is, she did have sex with the original two infantrymen at the same time. The two looked on it as sharing a good thing between battle buddies. I asked 'em about this and this is honestly how they thought about it. They would neither confirm nor deny that the tape existed.

After the young woman ended her "relationship" with the one infantryman she was with (one of the pair of battle buddies) she started dating a guy in my platoon. After a while I got to know her enough to just come out and ask her if the tape existed or not and she denied it did. So who knows? Half the battalion claimed to have seen it. That she had done the actual deed was never in question- just the video tape part was- but it would not have been something I would have put past the two guys and they did have a video camera in their room.

Now, the battalion command did some inquiries into the matter but apparently nothing was ever found out one way or the other. The young woman was quite brazen. She undressed right in front of us one day (changing from uniform to civvies). She was very attractive physically. I have to say in the end that she would have been of the temperment to have participated in such a video if it indeed had ever been made. She walked around with people calling her a whore right to her face and it didn't even seem to bother her.

You see some wild sh!t in the Army. This incident was fairly tame compared to other things I have seen.

Now we see that she (apparently) posed topless for scumbag Flynt. Shows her real character. Another po' white trash bursting through to the mainstream the scummy way.

That's an absolutely disgusting set of comments. I advise you to retract them.

First of all, in her condition, she's not posing for any pics. She doesn't even have bowel control any more. These pics were taken well before she was ever injured.

Secondly, she DIDN'T ASK FOR THIS 'FAME'. If she could trade this so-called fame for her uncrippled body back, I'm sure she would.

Please do us both a favor and retract your comments. You will be the better for it and I won't have to hate you.

I am beginning to understand Jessica's reticence toward claiming hero status. The attention that sometimes goes with that status is just not worth it.

sure she asked for the fame---she signed up for the 1,000,000 and all the fancy tours to sell it that came with it--make all the excuses you want for this girl--she is coming out with flying colors--no other dogface has as good a deal and all you excusers know it---no nation can long exist that accepts the moral fibre of its citizens to deteriorate to this extent and history bears me out---casually fluffing off the idea/acts of a potential mother of future children of this nation baring herself to a boyfriend or strangers at a barracks party for picture taking purposes is an excellent example of how low America has sunk--it is now just a matter of time--I just never knew how really bad it is in my country until I read some of the posts on what is supposed to be a conservative, America loving forum

Since it appears that she didn't pose nude for the purpose of publication, I do retract them. I commented with the understanding that they were taken prior to enlisting, not after her injuries.

But as for asking for fame - then she should go away and shut the hell up. Don't whine about having her resuce videotaped (which is not at all uncommon), don't whine about the Pentagon screwing up her story, etc. There's no record which she needs to be in the public eye to clean up. Very poor representative of our military.
