We could found the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Humans and People for the Ethical Treatment of People .

One of the things that gagged me the most: the passage by the 2nd Ckt Court of Appeals that basically said "legally, it doesn't matter if Terri might be conscious of her starvation."

Me too. Lawyers and courts get all caught up in procedures and petty questions and forget all about justice. Then they call it due process so that the constitutional guarantees of life and liberty (Fifth Amendment) are satisfied. The victim is deprived of life, but that's OK, she had her day in court and the lawyers made lots and lots of money.
