The best comment I ever heard about why, 40 years later, people STILL refuse to accept that Oswald did this and are still looking for "answers" elsewhere is that the scales aren't balanced in this situation. Meaning that people simply can't comprehend the fact that a nobody, an absolute piece of human debris and flotsam and jetsam like Oswald, could pick off the most important man in the world like a kid shooting at cans. Because of that, they can't accept the simple explanation, they have to keep looking and looking and looking for some other explanation.

Good points...considering that about 50% of the showa on TV these days all deal in some way with forensic sciencs and crime investigations....folks youngng than 40 find it hard to believe that thwey just happened to "find" a bullet lying on the gurney that was used to transport the president...
