Gen. Michael W. Hagee, Commandant of the Marine Corps takes the first cut of the Marine Corps birthday cake at the United States Marine Corps Birthday Gala. The gala was held on the Intrepid Air, Space and Sea Museum in New York City, which helps support the Fisher House Foundation.
There are Fisher Houses at all major military medical centers to help families of service members in need. The foundation provides the comforts of home in a supportive environment to service members' families. Each year Fisher Houses serve more than 7,000 families, and have provided more than one and a half million days of lodging to family members since the program originated in 1990.

Happy Birthday to all my brothers and sisters who still wear the uniform. And to those, who like myself, have turned their rifles in. Semper Fi!

boy thats a long time out. how did you hold up after being away from it so long? I've been out 7 years. I'm going back in in a few months as a chaplain so It wont be as physical as the Corps. I'm not sure I could handle the Marines like I did when I was 18-22 yrs.
