Since so many on this site refuse to be associated with the Republican party, should they be using this an an invective? Hatch is Conservative and is Republican. I OTOH I recognize "compassionate conservativism" when I see it. But how does the above square with his apparent "need" to legitimize illegal aliens? Is it conservative to "award" illegal behaviour? Is it even Republican?
