This forum belongs to all of us FReepers. One thing you used to be able to count on was that we ALL - to the one - were united against Ted Kennedy and his ilk. That's what I was trying to say when I said: "What's happening to my beloved FreeRepublic.com."

I dont disagree with your post #101. I just think that when we go on the attack before the results are in, we resemble the nutcases on DU. Liberalism is an infectious disease, but it is curable. Liberals are not lepers to be banished to an island somewhere. Give Arnold a chance to get something done, and if he screws up, I will be attacking him right beside you.

Saundra, I detest Edward M. Kennedy and all democrats, save for Zell Miller. We are on the same team, except I think you're jumping the gun on Arnold.

I voted for Arnold --- you didn't --- but he won and he won big time. He's going to make a success of his governship, just as he has in all his endeavors. CA is now in play for POTUS and all other Republicans who will challenge democrats in 2004, in state races and in races for the US House and Senate.

Our GOP glass is more than half full. Thanks to Arnold winning the election, Latinos are no longer property of democrats. Independents overwhelmingly voted for Arnold too. What percentage of the black vote did he get? Thirteen percent or more if memory serves. This is not just GOOD, it's great.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. If I'm wrong, I'll be one of the first to criticize him. Of course he'll do some things I don't like --- but if he's 75% --- I'll take it and be pleased.

I guess that argument would have more appeal if I were assured that we ALL on FR -- to the one -- were united in support of George W. Bush.
