I see you are new to FR. Never got to welcome you aboard. So sorry to hear of your situation, and I will send up prayer now.
To: RiflemanSharpe
I'm so sorry. Prayers for your grandmother-in-law and the rest of your family -- may the Lord comfort you.

I already sent a prayer for your grandmother and your family.
May God grant you and your grandmother the peace that surpasses all human understanding.

Visited
M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston last weekend.
It's said to be one of the preeminent cancer hospitals in the country. Our treatment there was excellent.
While your loved one's condition may be inoperable, if you're in need of further support resources, Anderson would have them.
Prayers up.

May her sufferings be short and your family remember the good times. There will be many to greet her over there and she leaves some of the best part of her immortal self here in her children and grandchildren. Peace to her and you.

You are all in my prayers. Spend as much time as you can together. Seven years ago my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer (she was 77 at the time)and passed away shortly after that. If your grandmother-in-law only has a few months, make the most of them. Embrace this time you have.

Will pray for your dear grandmother but in the meantime, my sister sent me a little pamphlet that Hospice gave to her when her husband was dying of Cancer. He was terminal and chose not to undergo the chemo.
This book "Gone from My Sight" was a great help to her as her husband withdrew further and further into himself. I passed it along to a friend whose mother-in-law was also dying of cancer and she thanked me and said it was also a great help for her husband to understand his mother's last weeks and days.
I hope you can obtain a copy of this marvelous little but such a giant of a book. God bless your grandmother and all the family. Thoughts and prayers go with you.

I've seen both sides. Both my inlaws died from lung cancer in consecutive years. It was very hard on the survivors. And it was not pretty either I am sorry to say.
On the other side, my son's father-in-law had colon cancer so bad that it had spread to his lungs and liver, a virtual death sentence. He too was given six months to live yet after chemo, his cancer has receded dramatically, so dramatically they are talking about reconnecting his colon.
To look at him now, you can't even tell he was sick. This one truly goes down with miracles........and maybe much better treatment along with a lot of luck. It happens however, you just never know. I'll say a prayer for her.
To: RiflemanSharpe
I will indeed pray.
