November 5, 2003 -- IT WAS one of the funniest tapes I had ever received from a TV network.
It was a special promo reel sent over early last month for "The Reagans," a miniseries about Ronald and Nancy Reagan - the very same miniseries that became so embroiled in controversy that CBS finally dumped it yesterday.

When Drudge played those clips, I thought it was a JOKE because the acting was awf, the music was hideous, the dialogue was horrible.....and THAT'S why Les (three-way in Clinton's White House Bathroom) Moonves pulled it. He didn't want CBS to be a LAUGHINGSTOCK!

In contrast to Davis' raging first lady, James Brolin was seen playing the role of Ronald Reagan with all the emotion of a piece of wood - a style which has long been Brolin's trademark. He also plays the character Plank on Ed, Edd and Eddy on the cartoon channel.

Liberals are hysterically funny. On second thought, we should have em run it on CBS. We would have gotten a barrelful of laughs at the Left's expense.

Buckman got this a month ago? Did he write about it then, or is he jumping on the bandwagon now that the water's warm?

Bonaparte: "Amazing that CBS found sponsors for it."
I think Hallmark and Chevrolet were the sponsors that CBS found for the program, when the program was set to air on CBS.

He was also in The Amityville Horror, and a sci-fi bomb called Capricorn One, which co-starred the former Mr. Streisand, Elliot Gould, and OJ Simpson. Which would you prefer-being locked in a space capsule with OJ Simpson or pleasuring Babs every Friday night?

Well, I guess we didn't make them back down after all. Looks like it was ssssooooo BAD that not even the most virulent Reagan-hater would be able to admire it.
