Kate Adamson was just on O'Reilly. Her witness was unbelievably wrenching.
She stated that when she heard Michael Schiavo say that removal of food and hydration was painless she could not believe it. As it turns out they removed her feeding tube for 8 days after diagnosing her as PVS and she said it was pure torture, unbearable and yet she did indeed bear it.
Her husband insisted they put the tube back in or he would sue everybody involved. He stated that he told the Drs that she would communicate with him by blinking but the Doctors would not believe him.
He's a lawyer though and promised that he wouldn't sue if they reinserted the g-tube. Some time later Mrs Adamson recovered and today looks wonderful.
They deserve big kudos for speaking out.

Postscript:
She was cognizant the whole time. She could see, hear and feel but not communicate.

Thanks for that post. I don't watch TV much, actually don't even get cable, so I depend on you and others to communicate what is on the TV and radio news and shows about Terri.
I always check out web sites. I don't get larry King so I read the HINO interview on teh web site. Would you know the web site of O'Reilly?
So Kate said that getting your feeding tube removed was not "the second easiest painless way to go besides an anuyerism" as MS stated?
What is really wierd in all of thei sis that i have a living will drafted by our attorney and so do my parents. Both of my parents specifically have stated in their living will that they do not want to be maintained via feedign through a tube. We talked about this and that is what they want. My husband and I both have in our living wills that we don't want to be artificially supported when "terminal" however we do want to be fed. So even within my own family our personal choices are different. At least in my family we speciafally have these things spelled out.
If a person doesn't talk specifically about food and water prior to being Terminal/Brain Dead/ PV or whatever you want to call it, then I dont' think any of us should consider food and water to be extrordinary. I am going to write to my governor and ask that these quetions be included in the Drivers License Application. We already have the Organ Donor questions, why not ask these other questions and finish the job. At least it wouold be on the record somewhere what your wishes are.

Oh...darn, sorry I missed seeing her. I think that is the same lady who called in to the Liddy Show the other day. She and her husband both got on the phone and told the story. Was she injured in an auto accident?
It is great that they are speaking out! Good for them!

Absolutely!!! Here's a link to the thread I put up when I knew she would be on O'Reilly .. it's IMPORTANT that as many people as possible see it on re-run, 11 pm here. Her experience was overwhelmingly horrific .. being aware .. seeing and hearing everything, yet powerless to speak. She said the pain and hunger after they removed the feeding tube was tortoure. THANK GOD for her husband, and his persistence, and they're definitely lending their support for Terri's fight. Link to that thread .. details from her website and her story .. a MUST read:
