Concerned,
Condolences on the passing of your aunt.
I'm sure your cousins did what they thought was right when reading the Living Will your aunt left and their own remberences of conversations with her.
Comments like yours cause us all to pause and think about Terri. In absence of a living will, even if she did express her desire not to be kept alive artificailly, did she intend for that to be the withholding of food and water.
Your comments make us really think hard about the consequences of decisions.
I agree with others that his is not a "Right To Life" case, it is a "Right Not to Be Killed" case. Food and water to me are not extrodinary, in the absence of instructions of her wishes she should be given food and water. And be treated medically to give her the best possible life. Her parents have her best intrest at heart, not her husband (In Name Only).
Thanks for writing and telling us how awful an end starvation is. I think we all knew it, but your first person account (and the account of others) drives it home.

I finally have time to get that freepathon check in the mail for Free Republic. Can you please put FR's mailing address on this thread? That's another way to thank Jim Robinson for putting up with Terri's undaunted crew. FV

He doesn't have a problem with sentencing Terri to death...scumbag
I read the story on the website-and think Felos' statement shows his moral corruption. Killing Terri, fine. Cheat on your disabled spouse, fine. Deny your disabled spouse even basic treatment, fine. Lie through your teeth in court and on national tv, fine. How twisted do you have to be to say MS has a "right" to do all this?

"More people need to ask WHY Terri doesn't go out in a wheelchair any more. Why did Michael not let the Schindlers get Terri another wheelchair after the other one broke (h'mm, did it really, or did he help it along, I wonder now.....) Those are questions I sent in to LKL."
I'll back you up on this cyn and will send this question off to him and his staffers, now.

You know, I was considering raising my monthly amount. I checked my CC and it was not being taken out anymore for some reason. I've been reading for free the last few months. OOPS! lol

I don't think at this time that they are allowing any gifts, cards, etc. NOW IF the Schindlers get guardianship......WOW, they will have to hire a special postman to handle just the " Terri mail"!!!!!!

From the WND article above, gish, it is WONDER that Terri can even breath on her own now considering the YEARS of neglect and abuse she has suffered, even minor COMFORTS denied, all in the hopes her will to live would crush her in the end. And not to mention, the very attorney stating this below was taking MONEY meant for her rehabilitation!!!!
"...The opposition has a pattern of dredging up filth in order to attack my client because ultimately they're going to lose on the merits of the case, which is what the current medical condition of Terri is and what her wishes are. ... They're just attempts by the Schindlers to run an end-run around the ruling to end life support," Felos told WND at the time the motion was filed. ..
This man is a vampire.

"I can see Theresa Marie's Mountain, a great mound of loving birthday cards and contributions" I like that image! I am going to get a card and have it signed by the FReepers and others in the neighborhood here who have been working and praying for Terri. I hope ALL of you will do this as well, individually, or in groups.
I would also like to share this with all of you. It is one of the most inspiring things I have seen on the internet. I would also like to send it out to Terri and her family...perhaps someone who is on the scene can pass it on.

In absence of a living will, even if she did express her desire not to be kept alive artificailly, did she intend for that to be the withholding of food and water. Not to mention that in the year she supposedly made these comments about not wanting to be kept alive artifically, food and water WAS NOT considered extraordinary means. It was not considered extraordinary til 10 years after she supposedly made that comment.
(woohoo! I finally figured out how to italicize a quote!)

This can only mean that even if MS gets ousted from guardianhood, he will continue to sue for Terri's death. If MS ceases to be guardian will he have standing to do this? Because of marriage? Requiring a divorce to sever? Ghouls don't easily quit.
