Well, you have to remember...if the Dem is leading, it's called early.

I remember the night of 2000..."with 2% reporting in Maine, we project Gore the winner" while "with 92% reporting, Tennessee is too close to call".

Well, yes, you're right. They only call 'em early for democrats.

There was a great graphic put up by someone here in 2000, showing by state the gap between the candidates and the time the networks called the race. It was clearly evident that Gore states were being called within 10 minutes when he had a 2-4% lead, while Bush states were called at about 30 minutes with a 5-7% lead.

I wish I kept that graphic. It was a classic media bias report card.
