I am in Alcorn County. The voters were out like I have never seen before. There was a very nasty race between a black NAACP/ACLU, Union, Trial Lawyer, liberal Democrat and the current President protempore that switched from the Democrat party with Tuck and others. I can't predict squat.
To: Bigun
Was just mentioning that the radio media has been silent about the elections all day. No exit polls, no nothing. Told him that means the republicans are ahead.
Not five minutes later they announced that Kentucky has a republican governor. LOL.....BUT that Philadelphia has an important race too! LOLOLOL

Yep. I'll post it as soon as my friend up there tells me. As of now, I haven't heard diddly.

Powell is probably out. Rice will probably be the SOS. Bush had originally asked Sam Nunn (Sen.(D) GA) to be Sec. of Defense, but he turned him down for the private sector. If Zell was Sec. of Defense. Defense would be off the table for Democrats.

(Roy Barnes (Ex-Gov GA) is beating himself silly over appointing Zell Miller to the Senate!)
To: sboyd
Boy, I'm glad Nunn said no. Hopefully, Rice will be the next VP.

He was on with Britt Hume earlier and said no to this. He is leaving to retire. He said he would not even be in the Senate now, if Cloverdale had not died.
To: Fledermaus
Okay, all.....how's this race going???? (I'm in NY here, but would love to hear about another Pubbie winning for governor this year!)
Gee, if a Republican is elected Governor in Mississippi, do you think the Rats will say it's for the same reason that Schwarzeneger was elected? (Everyone's mad a Bush, so they elected a Republican.)
To: wylenetheconservative
The best we can do is wait for the first scroll on the TV

(What can you say about Liberals that hasn't already been said about hemorrhoids?)
FYI... the front page article at CBSnews.com reads:
In one of the nation's most closely watched elections, Kentucky elected its first Republican governor in 32 years, Rep. Ernie Fletcher. The GOP hopes to steal another state house in Mississippi in the off-year races.
No liberal bias at CBS now, is there?
To: blam
Think I see Haley's comet? LOL
