President Bush in San Diego

I'm watching the local news coverage of MY president here in San Diego. He visited families in Harbison Canyon where some of the homes were destroyed in the fire. He was hugging them and comforting them and to me, it was very sincere. He made the right decision to come here. We're now awaiting his speech to the fire fighters at Gilespe Field......

Gov. Arnold is now there and "almost" former Gov. Davis.

I'm watching. Gray Davis is pathetic. He just wants this attention so bad. I would be embarrassed if I were him.

It looks like the President wants to shake every hand there. It may take a while for the speech. But that's okay.

On the Canadian version of Freerepublic, freedominion, a woman who lost her hubby in the WTC met with the Prez and she could not speak anymor highly of him. He hugged her and consoled her and did everything her Prez, Idiot, didn't. That Frenchie wannabe just shook her hand and asked whether her hubby likes to play hockey theen mosey along for more photo ops.

Comparing Bush and 2/3s of the leaders in the world is like comparing Gabriel and the Egyptians. (Biblical reference)

Oh my gosh! I think I saw Air Force One! I'm so excited!

I happened to look out my window at a very slow-flying jumbo jet because of the rumbling noise, and I saw the light blue color of the top front as it turned. (I'm used to seeing fighter jets that zip by in a different direction, so a 747 is relatively slow.)

I didn't even think about what I had seen until I heard the announcement (right after Gray Davis' interview) that President Bush had already left Miramar.

I was on the 15 near Miramar going south last August and heard on the radio that AirForce One was approaching. I looked to the left, and there it was over the hills just north of Tierra Santa coming in for a landing. What a sight that was!
I know the feeling you're having.
