AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - A five-year-old Dutch girl handed out "sweets" to classmates that turned out to be ecstasy, cocaine and heroin pills, police said on Monday.

The drugs were confiscated by a suspicious teacher before any were consumed at the primary school in Hilversum, southeast of Amsterdam. Police arrested the girl's older brothers aged 21, 19 and 16 and her 43-year-old mother.

Large quantities of soft drugs and hard drugs were found in the car of the eldest brother. The brothers were in custody, but their mother was set free after questioning.

None of the pills were in the possession of anyone but the girl who brought them to school. Nothing happened. No one was harmed. Even if they took a pill, so what? People here imply long term addiction will follow.. That is nonsense.

Kids have been bringing "naughty items to school forever, and will continue to do so.

The same people flipping out on this do not give a damn about kids in the US being forced thru government coercion to take mind altering drugs daily for years...until 18 or the state tells them to stop.

I'm not jumping threads.

Sorry, you're right.

Post the complete poll or withdraw it as propaganda.

No.

i've encountered that lame ["drugs are harmless"] comment many times.

Well I hope you'll pardon my skepticism. If your comment weren't untrue, you would have answered my question.

I strongly doubt that---and I'd bet my bottom dollar you can't provide a single specific reference in support.

I am proud to oppose the usage of drugs and I want to see them disappear

Me, too---but I'm not foolish enough to think government can make that happen.

it [the preamble] is not merely an objective statement.

Of course it is---only big-government liberals like you pretend otherwise.

I don't support that interpretation of the "General Welfare" clause

So you agree that federal regulation of intrastate drug making, selling, and using is unconstitutional?

"So you agree that federal regulation of intrastate drug making, selling, and using is unconstitutional?

You first. Do you agree that making, selling, and using recreational drugs is morally wrong?

I asked first, so you should answer first. But since such basic civility is evidently foreign to you: making, selling, and using hard drugs is morally wrong. As for drugs like alcohol and marijuana, I don't use them myself but I wouldn't judge all users of them to be immoral.

Now, again: Do you agree that federal regulation of intrastate drug making, selling, and using is unconstitutional?

Or makers or sellers.

You've made the claim that you are not a user before, but yet you continue to be an ardent advocate for the legalization of drugs. I wonder what your motivation could be?

Now when will you finally answer my question: Do you agree that federal regulation of intrastate drug making, selling, and using is unconstitutional?

Oh, a trick question. Are you talking about the Federal regulation of legal, or illegal drugs?

Illegal (although the correct answer for both is "yes, it is unconstitutional"). Now will you FINALLY answer the question?

Yes. Now when will you AT LONG LAST answer my question: Do you agree that federal regulation of intrastate drug making, selling, and using is unconstitutional?

Article 1, Section 8, clause 3: [The Congress shall have Power] To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States...

Correct---NOT intrastate commerce.
