I haven't heard anything about a 12 hour movie. The film depicts the last twelve hours of the life of Christ, and is a 2-hour film.

When the talk about the movie first came out, it was supposed to be a 12 hour movie in Aramic and Latin, with no subtitles. It was definitely 12 hours long. I'm sure others around here remember that.
