Major California flames had spread across 739,906 acres by Friday, killed 20 people and destroyed 3,398 homes... "

It is time we evacuated all of southern California. My God twenty people dead from fire just this week. It is evident the fires have won. we are doing no better than fighting a losing battle against the fires. We beat them down in one place and they erupt in another.

It never ends, the fires come back year after year, we can no longer sustain the loss of lives, blood, property and tax payers money in fighting a never ending and ever worsening situation.

Just give it back to nature and let it burn, at least American lives will no longer be sacrificed in this quagmire that goes on & on with no exit strategy in sight. The nightly news pictures of the tears, sense of helpeness and destruction is tearing at the moral fabric and soul of the American people.

I disagree, we need to do more to help the innocent trees burning helplessly in southern CA. A survey of the trees showed that over 90% support our forest building efforts. Therefore we should send more of our young soldiers to water trees and plant more. We fully expect that some will be swallowed up by the flames but we must not falter in our forest building efforts. We must show those flames that we can always plant trees faster than they can burn them.
