What makes you think Im not? I never said I didnt understand where the NRA stood on the AW sunset. I asked if theyve made a stmt concerning Bush's willingness to sign an extension.
As for the NRAs influence...yes, but not nearly so as real people writing to their reps multiple times on the same issue. If gun owners would get off their collective duffs thered be no (not much anyhow) need for the NRA in the political field. The money better spent on shooting than lining lawyers/activists pockets.
Sorry, I dont recall Bush making mention of the AW sunset during the election.
Anymore, the dems and rebuplicans are blending so theres little distinction. Its just a matter of which is worse than the other. The spector of a renewal isnt going forward.

The dems and the Republican Parties aren't blending. With the CCW fights in Wisconsin, Missouri and Ohio, you should be able to see both sides in action. Yes, there are a few RINOs in power but that's not the entire party. The three CCW fights are going on right now. I'll ping you when we get a live feed to the House or Senate floors.
By the way, did you call the Ohio Governor's office today? It's a quick phone call and say that you support CCW and HB12.
