Wow, what an achievement! 100,000+ species of earthly animals, all that necessary food and water, not to mention the numnber of shovels needed to keep it clean. What a boat, what a crew!

If you allow for a little speciation through subtraction of info, make it more like 14,000 kinds of non-aquatic mammals, reptiles, and birds. Bugs and tiny stuff can float on dead trees.

With all the water around them I doubt they needed to carry much water - depends upon what kind of water flooded the earth.

The Christian faith teaches us of three “arks”, three containers of Infinity and Life : Noah’s Ark, The Ark of the Covenant, and the Virgin Mary. The Ark of the Covenant was just a golden box — but it somehow contained within it the presence of God Himself. In this it was a type of the Blessed Virgin, who also contained within her finite human body the Infinity of the Word.

So, what about the first ark, Noah’s Ark? How did all those animals and their food and Noah’s family fit inside a mere wooden boat? I don’t know — but maybe Noah’s Ark was more than just a wooden boat. Maybe — like the Ark of the Covenant and the “ark” of our Lady’s womb — it was bigger on the inside than on the outside, and contained all of Life within.

Ha,ha. Yes and I'll bet the large carnivorous animals got along just swell with the weaker non-carnivorous ones. Probably unfair to point out the contradictions in these bible stories.
