My wife is from around that area and the locals say that the Catholic church in Earling has claw marks in the solid oak doors from the girl trying to escape the exorcism. Been to the church once for a wedding but never looked or saw the scratches. Also, the exorcism was featured prominently in a Time-Life book series on the supernatural.
