They probably lost some of their access after Chuck Henry's lack of thinking yesterday. His actions put people at risk, and took a ff out of the loop to try and get him out of there. Since so many of these media people run on ego, sometimes they just have to be prevented from being there in the first place.

the fire was half a mile from the first community in S Hesperia.... Kern County Fire is providing structure protection

I'm in Orange County (right between LA and San Diego Counties on the coast and just East of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. No fires in this county but all the smoke and ash one can handle.

BTW I saw Chuck Henry's crying jag yesterday. Clearly he thought his goose was (literally) cooked.

He tried to stop the fire fighter who apparently saved him, to give him some "tv face time," the fire fighter shugged him off and kept walking as if Henry were nothing but a pain in the rear...never even turned toward the camera, just kept walking and talking into his hand held radio.
