G'morning, nic!
Last I heard on the Simi fire, no homes were actively threatened, the wind had changed direction. This may have changed since last report but I don't have any recent report.
Last I heard on Arrowhead area, there were some structures burning in Running Springs, fire again heading towards Crestline, one structure burning in Arrowhead. Scanners are discussing some deliveries of needed supplies to the Rim of the World HS right now, and that they're preparing to discuss today's firefighting plans with the crews that are just waking up. Many strike teams were asleep about an hour ago in Big Bear; don't know if they still are. Hwy 330 is threatened.
Currently, they're discussing air support in the morning, saying that it will be absolutely necessary. Current portion of the fire going up by Hwy 330 is in the timber; some small brush burning as well, but if they have air support, they'll be able to knock it back. They don't have a good anchor point to start from for backfires.
