Lotsa residents checking it fairly regularly... I'm messaging with a friend of mine in one of the non-evacuated areas of Hesperia right now. That's a big ol' town.

Can't get rid of Doofus fast enough - I still have the Dump Davis bumper sticker on my car, and intend to leave it there for awhile longer.

What happens when that entire area goes? I don't think there's any way they can stop that fire. I guess what I'm asking is what is over that mountain?
To: barrymdeep
I heard something about a couple fires up your way; I believe they were shown on a MODIS map.
But it's entirely possible you're seeing our smoke up there, too. I know that other states are...

another area of I-5 (south of previous post)
smoke so thick, visibility less than 1/2 mile.
Spot fires may have crossed I-5 here, can't tell because of the smoke.
Fire line is approaching the freeway (25-30 feet)
Heavy smoke. Reporter having hard time with it.
Wind blowing it across the I-5

God, I hope so.

I guess what I'm asking is what is over that mountain? Desert...question is what happens this winter...denuded hillsides and good rains (which socal needs)creates mudslides.
