First I want to thank you all for your prayers & support. FR is the best!
Now a quick update, as I only came home to take care of some personal business & will be back at the hospital quickly. After a week in intensive care, James is in a regular room. He is on the road to recovery (so far) and appears to have no brain damage or any other damage to his motor skills. He is up and walking very short distances, and alert. He is still on oxygen & food IV's, but they hope to be weening him from these soon.
One problem is a constant fever (not real high, but high enough for concern) that they cannot identify the cause of. They will continue to try to determine this. Also his left lung is still "wet" but most doctors foresee a full recovery. This part of the process is slower & will take time. Hopefully, he will be home in a week or two.
The doctors said they have never seen this much initial lung damage in a child who has survived, so to me, this is nothing short of a miracle.
Thanks to all for your prayers & if I may ask, please keep them up so James can come home soon.
Again, you guys are great & thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Sorry I'm late, gubamyster.
Dear Lord, we hold up another precious boy for your saving love.
Hold him, dear Lord, and make all his pains disappear.
Restore him to health that he might serve You and worship You all the days of his life.
In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit we pray.
Amen
