"Who will you put up that can defeat the front runner Democrat in the next election?"

Senor Gonalez, please see my post #123...I'm not looking for a primary challenge, I just want to nudge Dubyuh decidedly to the Right on domestic issues, as I believe a lotta frustrated folks on this Forum do. Dubyuh thinks he's got the RightWing wrapped up becuz of the War on Terror and the tax cuts, but he's dissed us badly on the Education Bill, trade protectionism, enforcement of immigration law, the Farm Bill, etc., and has totally refused to cut domestic spending one iota!! I like Dubyuh and pray for him to wake up to the dissatisfaction that is building on the Right...we have time to fix what's broke, and a well-articulated RightWing agenda of what we can expect in a second Bush term (with an enlarged majority in the House and Senate) would go a long ways in restoring the RightWing's faith, imho.

If he shores up the RightWing vote in such a matter, I'm looking forward to a Reagan '84-style landslide a year from now. Otherwise, we should not be surprised by another Perot-like incursion from a protest-vote independent.

FReegards...MUD

We do not have Al Gore in the White House by a margin of 535 votes.

What the left wants is just one out of a thousand people doing just what's being said in here...not voting. That action, or rather, that lack of action will have as a reaction a sufficient erosion of votes to hand the Democrats the election.

You know, a good part of your answer can be found in the Democratic National Committee’s talking points; let’s address them globally, rather than on an item-by-item fashion.

George W. Bush is a WARTIME President. He is a WARTIME President like Roosevelt was a WARTIME President and Truman was a WARTIME President. He is faced with an enemy unlike any enemy ever faced by any President before him; not an army, not a nation, bur an ideology without borders and loyal to itself beyond national pride. So you, and “The Right Wing” need to stop carrying water for the DNC by trivializing the effects that the WOT has on our nation, our economy, and our way of life, as well as minimizing the very real victories that have been won in this war since its onset. By the way, I guess that you describe “The Right Wing” as those who find fault with current policies…here’s a bit of a flash: I consider myself part of “The Right Wing”, as do many others that think like I do, and disagree with people who think like you seem to do…you don’t get proprietary rights to “The Right Wing”.

You, and those who think themselves the sole proprietors of the nomenclature “The Right Wing”, spend as much time as the left pointing out the things you perceive to be failures in policy by this administration, and very little time discussing the very real advances achieved by Bush since taking office, the most obvious of course being the seeming defeat of the Democratic Party, who is floundering in total disarray, without a message, without any ideas, and without a rudder as a result of the direction, and actions taken by the Bush administration since taking office. I would be concerned Mud, when I found myself promotiong the left's talking points.

The Education Bill?

The left would have passed it and turned any opposition of it into one more bash fest of the right, and the GOP’s lack of concern for children, instead, Ted Kennedy got everything he wanted, and publicly praised the bill as being the solution to the problem of education in this nation. Today, the problems remain, and Teddy’s words, along with the fact that after having thrown all that $$$ at the situation, it remains unchanged, will lead the fight to give us what we really wanted anyway…vouchers.

Since when has trade protectionism been a conservative issue?

Show me the first conservative President that’s promoted protectionism…certainly not Reagan, the man behind NAFTA.

Our borders are watched closer today than ever before in the Nation’s history, and this administration is enforcing immigration laws more efficiently than any before it. If you don’t agree with me, show me proof otherwise.

The Farm Bill passed by Bush is nearly a carbon copy of Reagan’s Farm Bill…was Reagan, the man who issued amnesty to illegals (Bush hasn’t), passed a Farm Bill, and enacted NAFTA not a “Right Winger” Mud?

The tactics of the self-appointed “Right Wing consciousness" of the conservative movement, once before left as their legacy what came to be known as the Clinton Administration; I see them at it again, dividing the vote so that we can be more easily defeated. I wish they would get a grip, and try to understand politics.
