I was looking for strkr to show up. I suppose I could, and use his list. It's nearly 11 p.m.
To: Free Trapper
That's fine! Thank you!

Where is your cabin? On Seeley Way, about 50 yards west of 138.

Caller from Harrison Park
Was on North Peak overlooking lake
Saying mountain is devastated. "the mountain just burned"
Solid wall of flame at 2000ft going from west to east. Mt is 6000 ft. Flames were 400 ft high. Trees were like colums of gasoline (trees dead due to beetles) Saw the mountain and his home burn. Told police "I'm watching my house burn, Cop said So am I."
Caller sounds completely spent.
Thinks there were maybe 400-500 homes lost tonight. Wise decision that FF chose not to fight there. Would have been suicide.

Sorry, I'm not quite sure. I got it off of their website
Shadow Mountain Ministries. I know people who work there and was checking on the status of the campus.

Experts say California needs way more regulation and housing expenses aren't nearly high enough. Please tell me that was a joke.

I think we're overdue for the 10/29 thread.
Please start a new one with the links from Post #1, please?

I'm not quit sure. See #2707 for more info.

I'm back...I see we're NOT making progress.
Dear Lord, such horrible stats. SO many homes lost.

Where do you live in relation to the fires?
To: All
To: It's me
I'm 30 miles or so northwest of the Arrowhead/Crestline/SB fires, in the high desert. Look for Edwards AFB on a map, I'm near there.

"The Indian Reservation - Barona (?)is like a war zone. "
Yep, that's Barona on Wildcat Canyon Rd. I was just there over Labor Day weekend, and I know some of the families there. It was one big valley filled with lots of dry grasses, but only the hills were densely wooded; the actual valley was fairly clear.
Any word on how bad of a warzone it is down there? I'm worried for a few friends...
