Next week I will try to explain how Joan Rivers (after numerous face lifts) can open her mouth without her skin splitting down the sides and peeling off.Never underestimate the knowledge of a FReeper! LOL LOL!
You asked for it, nully.

sb scanner: east of camp, fire moving fast (arrowhead) That's La Cima fire camp, near Cuyamaca in San Diego County. Fire behavior also reported to be "very erratic". Gonna be a nervous night in Julian.

Thanks, didn't come thro the 1st time (as you obviously know -- I'm getting punchy!).

About time!!!

Well, we do have a lot of tumbleweeds this year. But I'm 15 miles from the foothills, even.. and I have a clay tile roof, a kubota, a high tower filled with water, a cleared property.. plus there's only like, four homes in a square mile out here. :-)
But I appreciate the concern. I sure hope these fires don't come all the way to the high desert.

He'll probably get an emmy. You're probably right. [sigh] Some luck...

Are you listening online? And, if so, do you have a link for the scanner feed?

See ya all later. I have to go get Gramps from the airport.
Good night to all who leave while I'm gone. Stay safe, and LEAVE when told to...or ahead of time!!!
Hint, hint, Miss Lainie!! :-)
To: sf4dubya
he said east arrowhead Coincidence, then. Your previous quote from that scanner was from Cleveland NF's transmissions. Sounds like winds and fast movement all over. Ugly.

Without listening to KFI, I would have gone nuts with all of this! I listened to them during the Recall as well. They have been hilarious tonight about the Channel 4 truck and reporter.

Fire burning completely around someone....I believe that was the Cleveland Natl Forest
Harrison Group Branch 3
one strike team near Catholic Center.....embers incoming..

Nice pictures! I'm left of the moon and under that double-tiered layer of smoke. It's very calm here but KFI just said the wind is picking up in the mountains.
