They also said that topping is now occurring as the fire is going from treetop to tree top in the Arrowhead area -- they have lost control of the fires all over SoCal. Concern is now on the southend of Lake Arrowhead.

Stevenson Ranch -- fire bearing down on it.

Shutting down the 5 Interstate from 14th to 24th I think they said. Unbelieveable.

You are right -- this has turned into firestorms and making its own wind and weather. They had pictures of a tornado like lightening strike inside the one at Stevenson Ranch.

Lily, the way i got up today was because i''d heard the firefighters had little food and my unit just happened to have 28 cases of MREs laying around. My brother and i liberated them with the plan of not only feeding these guys and gals but so we could also get a better gander of how things looked in the Crestline area. We had to go through 2 checkpoints in order to get to the High school and having food was the only way in that i could think of.   http://rimoftheworld.net/messages/

Yes he said that the beaurocracy they had to go through to get the C130's held them up on Saturday. Too many hoops between State and Fed and CDF etc.

He was pretty mad.

My daughter moved from Lakeside a little over a month ago as she was transferred to Maine. Talked to her tonight and she cannot believe this whole area is going up in flames.
