Hi Jackie,
Thanks so much for your concern. Luckily I live in West Los Angeles in an area about 6 miles from the coast. Fortunately our area is not at risk in this fire. However the air is "smoky" and you can't see the stars at night. It tears me up when I think about all these people losing there home. One lady on the radio was saying her firm in in San Bernadino, at least half that work there have lost their homes or been affected adversely. She said that two people showed up to work today after losing their houses left with only the clothes on their back. WOW. People are amazing sometimes.

I am finally able to get back on here! I'm having so much trouble with my AOL connection at home, I am ready to quit!
I just got off the phone with my brother Nik in Santee. He sent me some pics but I am unable to download them at home. I will try to access them and post them at work tomorrow..
Everything has burned out around his area, his back yard is covered with soot and embers. Cars and houses covered with ash, air quality is deadly. They have been told to stay indoors. Praise Lord everyone is okay, their home was spared.
He was in LA with the boys yesterday, boys playing in a hockey tournanment in the facility next to LAX. They drove back last night and he said that literally most of southern CA is on fire. Lots of freeways closed, the ones that were open were a mess.
San Diego pretty much shut down, not sure when schools will re-open. He has 3 schools within a 3 mile radius of his home and all were used as shelters.
He was pretty freaked out today...he said that you could look directly at the sun without damaging your eyes because of the smoke...can see the black spots on the sun with the naked eye...
