The last I heard Big Bear was being evacuated, so I'm assuming that the Old Fire has shifted slightly and is now headed up the mountain.

I read this morning on one of the news websites (I think nbc4), that the Santa Anas were actually helping to keep the fire from engulfing the whole mountain because they were blowing it away and towards the FF. The article basically said that if the wind died down, they'd be in trouble because the whole mountain would catch on fire. I don't know where that article went, though.
