"Isn't "whattya think about living with a g-tube" the question everyone immediately asks after they propose?"

I was engaged at 25 as well. When I was first married, we would get these calls from funeral directors (?) trying to sell us cemetary plots. I used to tell them I was just married and thinking about having babies.....give me a break. I finally got where I'd just hang up on them. Never once did my husband and I discuss life support or feeding tubes or any thing like that. Even when my grandmother, who was living with us at the time, had her second stroke and a decision had to be made about life support, he left the decision completely with me.

You're right, this is NOT something young people think about or discuss. Yeah, perhaps in passing, as in watching a movie or TV show, but I hardly think that casual (and I might add, entirely emotional) remarks are legally binding...well, at least until Felos and Greer decided to take it upon themselves to make them so.

It's funny, we're 45 now and still haven't discussed it! My husband keeps getting these calls from AARP and he says, "Why are you calling me, I'm not a senior yet. Call back in 10 years". LOL
