To: Normally a Lurker
Do you really think the insurance company shelled out $1.5 million without thouroughly checking these things out.

I think this was a JURY award here. Obviously the insurance company DID investigate and thought that they could win this case in front of a jury. However, a good lawyer can beat good evidence any day, as witnessed in the OJ trial.

I realize there's a lot of pure speculation going on about insurance, and none of us knows much about Terri's.
Still, Michael's denial of insurance benefits to come is very hard to believe. Is it possible that he has already collected on the insurance? Some policies, some companies will offer to pay off a medical policy early at a discount, no?
