If a wife has no problem with her husband not wearing a ring, sure. But if Michael stopped wearing his ring after Terri's health incident, that indicates he may no longer feel married. Note also the fact that he's living with another woman.
The point is, if Michael is acting like he's no longer married to Terri, he has no business representing her interests. SHE wouldn't want to be treated this way!
