>>If you have a solution that would work, I'd love to hear it. And "throw all the foreigners out of the country" is not about to happen.
Well, I think penalizing companies that use illegal immigrant labor would be a good start.
Frankly, I wonder if the Wall-Mart arrests aren't anything more than noise to cover the silent passage of:
"S-1645 the Agricultural Job Opportunity, Benefits, and Security Act of 2003"

Sounds like the owner of the independent contractor business is to blame! No your Congress is to blame.

No your Congress is to blame. Congress is to blame for not stiffening and enforcing existing penalties against employers who knowingly employee illegal immigrants.
As long as there are still plenty of employers hiring illegal immigration will always be a huge problem.

To suppose that the contractor is a sub company of Walmart is more silly that supposing the contractor is owned by the DNC. Do you really think this? Those guys spend every waking hour trying to cut costs; they should be. But if they've stepped over the line, take them down. No sympathy here.
Remember when Sam touted Made in the USA products? It was some while back. An acquaintance of mine had lost his job in the midwest and taken to driving trucks for a spell. He related, during a pickup for Walmart, observing workers transfering shoes from "made in China" crates to "Made in the USA" boxes for retail at Walmart stores. Like many here say, they cut corners every way they can.

As long as there are still plenty of employers hiring illegal immigration will always be a huge problem. As long as the Federal Government allows our borders to remain a chaotic "free for all", that has created this nationwide, epic lawlessness, and a national security time bomb, employers will continue to hire people at third world wages....
The employers are working in concert with the federal government....Unless stopped, they will destroy this country...

Is there any point to citizenship Of course, you then get the honor of paying for your medical care, instead of being required to take the free medical care, avoid all that embarrassment.

I am one of those weirdos that thinks; Kobe must be proven guilty. Rush has not even been charged. If the government can prove Walmart is guilty, they will. Walmart has been cheesey since Sam died and I don't shop there.
I know it's fun to speculate but I am not part of a lynching mob : ) Well most of the time I'm not.

"Is there any point to citizenship"
Of course, you then get the honor of paying for your medical care, instead of being required to take the free medical care, avoid all that embarrassment. You also get the double "honor" of paying for the Illegal Aliens' Medical Care, Schooling, Food Stamps, Housing Subsidies, etc. Oh and if you have the nerve to object to this, you are a "Racist". Such a Deal.
Our citizenship papers might as well be printed on a Roll of Scott's Tissue. It's about all its worth.

"Wal-Mart is just another company in a long line that is more than willing to sell out the American people for illegal aliens, that will work for third world wages."
I can understand your sentiments. I would also point out that the american people are selling out the american companies because they are not willing to pay the premium associated with the higher labor costs. The american consumer has consistently turned to the foriegn competition that offers a lower cost product.
This blame needs to go both ways!

It is clear that you have very limited experience with regards to large companies and contracts. Let me give you some enlightenment.... Maybe they should have noticed that none of them spoke English, naw that would be unreasonable.

"Wal-Mart has a responsibility to make sure their contractors comply with immigration law."
WalMart has an expectation that any contractor complies with all laws! If not, then the contract is not valid.
