Also, it is not uncommon for a person with an eating disorder to abuse laxatives and/or diuretics which, in the case of diuretics, causes potassium deficiency. Perhaps she had taken a potassium supplement, even to excess, which could have caused the severe reaction. Just something to think about.

Yes, this is how MS won the malpractice suit, I believe. He claimed she had a potassium imbalance due to her eating disorder. MS claimed her doc should have been aware of it. And that is certainly possible. And about MS familarity with giving injections, remember that he worked in a restaurant at the time of her collapse. He didn't be come a nurse till a few years later.

Yeah, that's what I thought, which is another reason why I thought it was far-fetched. I didn't realize that the eating disorder was raised in the malpractice suit, although it makes sense that it would be if he was aware of it. It is not that uncommon for eating disorders to be hiddem from family and friends.
