One of the things about the Terri affair is that the "old geezers" in FL, as Rush Limbaugh calls them, seem to support this "right-to-die" philosophy. Many of them have convinced themselves that they will quietly get out of the way and die when their time comes so as to make it easy on their families. Of course, they won't always have that option -- some of them will lie in disability for years before death. They just don't think disabilities will happen to them but to others! In other words, many of them have no clue of what they are really "endorsing" here.

But many seniors think that because they have had a long life and know that their days are numbered .. they don't want to be a burden or have their love ones suffer till they finally die and that is the reason (IMO) they believe in the DNR
However, I wonder what they think about being starved to death like Terri was ?
