Eyewitness Bill Bulebush near the scene of the Kecksburg incident.

NEW YORK(Reuters) -- The truth is out there, and the Sci-Fi Channel is determined to find it, even if that means suing NASA, the Department of Defense, the U.S. Army and Air Force for documents related to unidentified flying objects.

Let's see, they shut down the award winning Farscape, an original series that was fantastic, and pour money into suing over alleged UFOs. Inmates running the asylum over there?

I would like to sue sci-fi for the quality or programs that they are showing (with the exception of SG1).

I wish the Sci-fi channel all the luck in the world.

If the government is withholding information regarding UFOs, it should be released.

Tops of trees have recently broken off near Ruby Alaska. It's being compared to another, smaller Tunguska event. The trees are fairly large, but the top 20 feet of many are on the ground. HAARP has been blamed, as well as Global Warming.

When Stargate finally ends, you can kiss the Sci-Fi channel good bye. Farscape was amazing, now they don't even run it in reruns anymore. WTF!!!

I'm not pointing any fingers here (yours was just a convenient post to reply to), but it always strikes me as odd that people who don't believe anything that comes out of the government's lying mouth will believe the gov't when it says "UFOs are just weather balloons", or the planet Venus, or whatever.

I mean, the government lies about, obfuscates, and puts spin on everything. I'd like to see what Sci Fi comes up with.

Have you already given up on the new Battlestar Galactica before it's even started?

Nah, by then they'll have another excellent series. SG1 is way better than Farscape IMHO. Don't forget that Sci Fi channel has run far worse programming - witness "Lexx" PeeeeYeewwww!

I'll watch that, and the next Frank Herbert mini, but I will ignore the channel in between. If they lose viewers like me, then they are in deep trouble. When they dump Farscape for garbage like Tremors and Scare Tactics, then they are going in a different direction than what I want. So they can take a dirt nap as far as I'm concerned.

I agree LEXX was horrible. SG1 is not a sci-fi original, they picked up others refuse. When you think of SG1, do you think sci-fi? I think Showtime, syndication, and Sci-fi. When I think of Farscape, I think Sci-Fi channel. In your opinion, SG1 is way better, but Farscape won a ton of awards and was THE show that was 100% Sci-Fi channel. Farscape also generated tons of interest and devotion for the Sci-Fi channel Dumping Farscape for crap like Tremors and Scare Tactics was a horrible mistake that they will feel in time.

There must be a space-alien movie coming out. When ever a big sci-fi movie comes out it is preceded by a whole bunch of ufo stories.

In December 1965, residents of Kecksburg, Pennsylvania watched a fireball descend into a heavily-forested area 40 miles from Pittsburgh. That night the area was cordoned off by the military, trucks and helicopters came and went, and the town was briefly placed under martial law.

What's fiery, comes from space, and interests the military?

How 'bout a wayward film return capsule from an early spy satellite?

That's the best guess....

It's been kind of dry lately. Actually it's normally kind of dry. The trees are often not strong even if they look like normal trees, so a good wind might be all it takes to break them off. The roots often lay entirely in the vegetative layer and then you can uproot the tree by hand. Bears can also do this.
