NEW YORK(Reuters) -- The truth is out there, and the Sci-Fi Channel is determined to find it, even if that means suing NASA, the Department of Defense, the U.S. Army and Air Force for documents related to unidentified flying objects.

Their suing them won't reveal much. If there are top secret aviation machines being tested, they (the .gov) aren't going to admit that or admit to alien visitors because Sci Fi sues them. Might as well take a few thousand dollars, add lighter fluid and then burn it.

I don't find it hard to believe that we are being visited by advanced civilizations. I would not be surprised if they merely want to observe us and restrict any interaction, heck I would do the same!

But I do find it hard to believe that civilizations that could develop the technology to fly 35 or 100 light-years or more keep on crashing in the desert or little cow-towns under good weather conditions or even during a little Earth storm.

Must have been an errant military experiment gone bad.

Have you already given up on the new Battlestar Galactica before it's even started?

I'm willing to give it a chance but I don't have high hopes. The science fiction genre has been taken over by the fanboys and fangirls that make Internet science fiction fan sites unpleasant to read. Making Starbuck into a female is the sort of silly "What if?" scenario I expect in fan fiction about alternate universes. "Danger! Will Robinson. Danger! Danger!"

I'm still ticked they're not making any new episodes of MST3K.

Especially since there's so much material out there just waiting to be mystied. It's not like it would cost them a lot.

The "Sci-Fi" channel never misses an opportunity to live down to its name.

I have a theory about why Farscape was cancelled. The SciFi channel was running low on money and Spielberg was hyping his series (misTaken). So they pulled the plug on Farscape to please that troll Spielberg.

They should stick with true stuff like John
Edwards. All this dabbling in fringe beliefs and they will have to change their name to the Fantasy Network.

Good point. A lawsuit didn't help the workers at Area 51 back in the 1990s, did it?

A French company (the owners, now owned by GE for the most part) run by Clintonistas. It makes absolute perfect sense.

Most of what we take for granted has been suspended at Groom Lake, I believe via Executive Orders? Forgot where I read about that. It's part of what you give up to work for the .gov in that capacity.
