Glenn Beck is asking listeners to call Johnnie Byrd, speaker of the Florida House (850-488-6026) and ask him to pass Terri's Bill, and to contact Jeb Bush and thank him for standing up to save Terri's life. I called Byrd's office and the person taking the call indicated the speaker was getting lots of calls. I hope Freepers will see that he gets a lot more, but those calls must be made now in order to have any weight.

This is a blurb from Beck's website concerning the legislative activity today. I believe the information is attributable to Worldnetdaily.com

"Will Terri Schindler-Schiavo, the brain-disabled woman who is being starved to death, get a reprieve from Florida lawmakers? Florida's Speaker of the House Johnnie Byrd, is expected to introduce ''Terri's Bill'' during a one-day special session of the state legislature being held today in Tallahassee."

I don't understand the Senate connection. Please provide more information. Thanks.
