My understanding is that not one dime was spent toward Terri's rehabilitation to improve her function. It has been frittered away for attorney fees. As soon as the money was in his control, Terri was moved from a nursing home to the Hospice, where Schiavo's attorney George Felos was on the Board of Directors. This entire saga reeks of corruption.
I always thought that Hospice was for the terminally ill, with an estimated 6 months to live. Schiavo put strict controls over visitation by the family as soon as Terri was moved there. No one has been allowed to try to feed her since then. When she lived in the nursing home, they used to spoon feed her. Of course, no rehab has been permitted to improve Terri's function.

I'm assuming, and I don't know what the family was doing up to date, but that is not uncommon when posturing for a known battle when money and courts get involved. I don't agree that "not one dime" came out of pocket. He has suffered as much as her family. I suspect he saw this day coming all along and was prepaired for the courts.

Just wanted to thank you for your steadfast support of Terri's plight not to mention all of your intelligent, concise and informative posts. I especially agree with this statement: This entire saga reeks of corruption.
