Terri shiavo is being murdered before my eyes!!!!!!!

I am posting this message from Pinellas Park Florida concerning a matter of utmost urgency. At this very moment the state of Florida is committing a crime against humanity. A young woman named Terri Shiavo is being starved to death in Hospice care by order of the Florida courts. Terri suffered massive injuries several years ago which left her in severe physical condition and in need of major therapy. However, her husband has seen to it that Terri had no therapy or medical treatment, making it clear that his only wishes were for Terri to just hurry up and die. (lots of life insurance money involved) When he saw that Terri was going to fight for her life he began proceedings to have her euthanized… The mainstream media has lied about this case from word one saying that Terri is in a comma or a persistent vegetative state when she is actually very responsive to the attention and instructions given to her by others. The media has also stated that Terri is on life support which she is not….The only way Terri is assisted is by a feeding tube. Her injuries have left her unable to chew or speak because she has been denied any type of rehabilitation. Terri’s husband is strongly suspected in this case. Nurses and countless others have filed affidavits with Florida’s legal system stating that Terri’s husband is extremely abusive toward her and that he tried to kill her by giving her injections of pure insulin while she lay in the hospital. Yet, no criminal investigation has ever been carried out in this matter….why? Because Terri’s husband received nearly one million dollars to pay for Terri’s rehabilitation, and it is strongly suspected that he owns the judge who is handling this case. On Wednesday Terri’s husband won his battle to have her murdered, and her feeding tube was removed from her body…She has had no food or liquids since 2 pm wed. I came to Florida to investigate this matter. I just couldn’t believe that this could happen in America. But its all true and a helpless Terri Shiavo lies dying a horrible death while her parents and loved ones are kept from her side by armed guards. I have been standing vigil with Terri’s family for the past two days and I must say that this is the most horrifying thing I have ever witnessed. We need your help to get Terri’s story out before its too late. She only has a couple of days left. Our group has been in contact with Jeb Bush, who has the power to take executive action and stop this atrocity from occurring in his state. Jeb is obviously more worried about his political career than he is the life of one of his constituents….Don’t let Florida hide Terri’s story any longer….Go to her web site www.terrisfight.org and get the facts. You will be alarmed at what you see. Please call president bush, Governor Bush, and any other government officials you can think of, but most of all help us to get the truth out. I have watched reporters from CNN, FOX, WGN, CBS, ABC, and MSNBC interview Terri’s family. They are filming and reporting the truth but it is never getting past the cutting room floor. Please call your local papers and radio stations….We must get the truth out or this woman will be dead very soon. No one in Florida’s courts or political system will even hear Teri’s case or her family’s cries for justice. I guess its just not good politics to try and do the right thing anymore. Please help…. everything you do can make a difference…If the state of Florida can get away with murdering a helpless woman then the rest of us are fair game………PLEASE HELP. The state law is premised on a person being in a persistent vegetative state, which Terri clearly is not. And there most certainly can be an investigation of attempted murder.

What is happening is a clear perversion of the law and as such, the governor has an obligation to see that the higher law is upheld, which is Terri's right to life and protection from neglect and abuse. I am not certain that executive order is the appropriate way to address it. It looks as if there are other legal avenues open to Governor Bush if he would choose to pursue them, based on the legal opinions that he has been given and that have been posted on these threads. I am of the opinion that he has a legal obligation to do something, and he certainly has a moral obligation. As one poster said, he could at least have a press conference amd make some of thes facts known and condemn what is happening, but instead it appears that he is encouraging the media to downplay the story, as per a post on a thread last night. If this is true, then I believe he is wrong.

No, I dont think I am the only one who has been where I am, in fact, the hospitals are filled with thousands of us right now... you missed my point.

I have every right to be emotionally charged about this because one day, years from now, a person could tell me that my daughters G`Tube needs to be removed, much like Terri, without it she would die.... so before you start preaching about emotionally charged anger, understand that the outrage we have is valid, and this is a situation that could very well one day effect our children.

That is all I am asking, nothing more, nothing less. You can make your point with out the implications of uneeded emotions, my emotions, and every emotion of every other parent involved in this situation are not only valid, but worn with a great deal of hard earned pride.

That, again, is all I am asking, be respectful of those you are trying so hard to put in their place.

Specifically, the Florida legislature has expressed a strong disfavor regarding mercy killing when enacting laws such as the Life-Prolonging Procedures Act, which affirmatively states that the law shall not be construed to condone, authorize, or approve mercy killing or euthanasia, or to permit any affirmative or deliberate act or omission to end life other than to permit the natural process of dying. Fla. Stat. § 765.309.

This seems to say it all to me.

No, that is not out of line, but for me, and this is just me, but the way you have gone about it is.

Maybe I am too emotional, I dont know, but your comments have hit a nerve with me in a major way.

"My head told me to let my daughter die, My heart is the reason she is alive today"... so emotions, atleast for me, are not a bad thing, and can accomplish alot. If we can put many faces to the story of Terri Schiavo, I personally think we can accomplish alot more than what we are.. The sad thing is, everyone is being told to stuff their emotions and use logic... the logic of our judicial system is killing Terri right now...

It's the judge, not Jeb, that has control of this situation. Jeb is on our side. The judge, (most likely a liberal - appointed by a liberal) is the problem. Please address this issue to the person with the power to change it -- the judge.

So, if the judge raped Terri Schiavo in addition to the attempted murder, would we have to just stand around shrugging and saying 'Oh well, he's the judge'?

I heard someone say yesterday that they had been on the DU and that there is as much outrage there over this case as there is here. I am not being provocative here. I am interested in your opinion. Perhaps you're right, but I'd still like to think there are lefties who actually have a heart and care about what is happening to this woman on the case's own merits. Are they not also the great advocates of the disabled? Sometimes extraordinary situations creates strange allies. Consider the black baptist church members and the KKK standing together in protest against the removal of the 10 commandments.

No Chad, what I really think it comes down to is that the judiciary, largely liberal/socialist/communist, have no regard for the will of people and those who govern have lost concern for the will of the governed. But then, that is getting into other territory beyond the scope of this thread, and Terri's situation is just a symptom of a much greater evil.
