For all the talk about Wakefield, I had a sense that they might be going to thatwell once too often. Sooner or later, someone was going to figure him out.

I thought it was unwise to bring Wakefield in. It is not so much that someone can figure him out, it is that knuckleballers are unpredictable. Sometimes they are on and sometimes off. In this situation, you want a sure thing, someone reliable. Wakefield is not by any means. A knuckleballer is not a reliever. No way should he have been in there. Red Sox fans will be furious over this call, already seen it here on FR.
