Whose curse is worse?

Well, that's exactly what I'm talking about. A winner doesn't believe in silly things like that. A good team that believes it is cursed is just a good team that doesn't believe it can win, hasn't learned how to win. It's a millstone they tie around their own necks- the curse business is nonsense. Look at the Marlins and the difference a manager made. The Marlins believe they can win ball games and they do, they have.

I understand. Someone just unfurled a "Whose Curse Is Worse?" banner in front of a Fox camera, so I posted it. I don't believe Babe Ruth is making deals with God or that billy goats control destiny. In a very close series, the Yankees had that little something extra when it counted the most. That's all there was to it.

I must say that Pedro did a very classy thing. I just saw SportsCenter's recap of the game and they showed Pedro being interviewed. He didn't blame Grady, and said he took full responsibility for the pitches he made. I came around on Clemens (and not just because he became a Yankee, but because he just plain grew up). I may come around on Pedro. I give credit where credit is due. Both teams can hold their heads high -- they settled it on the field in the RIGHT way.
