I too am tied down with two young children, otherwise I would have gone to Florida.

I cannot stop dreaming about Terri... having nightmares. I am not complaining, however, my discomfort is nothing compared to her agony. I cannot fathom the pain she is in. How could he remove the pain medications?

Administering the pain meds (usually morphine at this point) hastens death, because it decreases the respiration rate. It's a choice between living with pain or dying quickly. There is a fine line on the amount of dosage to use, which of course is different for every person. You're basically caught between a rock and a hard place. It's a very difficult decision, and when Terri was not responding after her surgery, her parents asked them to dose it down. Michael decided to dose it down all the way. I saw Terri's dad on Hannity & Colmes last night, and he said they would prefer her to be on no pain meds vs. hastening her death until Sunday. There are other ways they can comfort her to a degree until then.
