Good photo's - They show the area remarkably accurately!
The writer didn't cover Kennesaw Mountain (my own stompin' grounds over on this side of Atlanta) but figure it looks pretty like Stone Mountain - only some 200 feet shorter.
Once you get off of the expressway(s) - figure you're immediately in a pine and oak forest.
Find ANY open spot, and, if you don't mow or plow it every spring, you've immediately and automatically got pine trees growing 12 feet high in three years!

Georgia is a wonderful place and it keeps Alabama from sliding into the Atlantic Ocean. The best things coming out of Atlanta are I-20 West and I-85 South.
