It is easy for the Republicans in the Senate to take the win and be happy with it. It takes real guts to stand up and do what is right and not seat Lautenberg. I think the Republicans are in an exellent position to take this chance. After all the Democrat whining about the coporate powerful being held to task, it is time for the politically powerful to be held to the law. We gave them one in S.D., it is time to take it back and make a statement about corrupting the election system.

We can't be doormats any more when they violate the law. What does is say about us if we are not willing to take the heat to defend the Constitution. And for some Senators there is an easy way to explain it: "I took an oath to support and defend the Constitution and this is a clear violation of the Constitution. This being the Constitutional duty of the Senate to Judge elections, I hereby vote not to seat Mr. Lautenberg."

The NJ election is over. If the Senate refuses to sit Lousenberg, it will createa vacancy, which McGreedy can fill with a D congressman or a D from the State Senate or Legislature that will run as an incumbet in 2 years. The Louse quit since he was in the minority, he'll probably do so again and we won't need to run against an incumbent.
