On November 13, 2023 the Washington Free Beacon reported "The Biden administration may approve a sanctions waiver on Tuesday that will allow Iran to access at least $10 billion in previously frozen funds held in Iraq, a closely watched decision that comes just a month after the Tehran-backed terror group Hamas launched an attack on Israel that left 1,200 dead.
" The waiver would extend the multibillion-dollar sanctions relief first issued in July that expires tomorrow. It allows Iraq to transfer frozen electricity payments into Iranian-owned bank accounts in Europe and Oman. The waiver renewal is driving concerns that the Biden administration is maintaining financial avenues for Tehran as the country’s terrorist proxies foment chaos across the Middle East.
"The world is living in a post-Oct. 7 world, but the White House is still running an Oct. 6 policy toward Iran," Richard Goldberg, a senior adviser at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies and sanctions expert who previously served on the White House National Security Council, told the Washington Free Beacon, referring to Hamas’s attack last month.
"Why should Iran have any access to more than $10 billion after sponsoring one of the worst terrorist attacks against American citizens and the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust? It would make more sense to freeze all of these accounts and keep every penny out of Tehran's hands."

Turkey shelters Hamas leaders yet Biden did not ask that Turkey be kicked out of NATO. Iran finances Hamas yet Biden refuses to reimpose sanctions on Iran (and continues to give Iran billions). Qatar remains a "Major Non-NATO Ally” (MNNA) despite finincing Hamas and providing shelter to Hamas leaders. Is Biden's support for Israel a lie? Why does Biden's attitude towards Iran, Qatar and Turkey did not change after October 7?
Qatar not only finances Hamas, it also privides refuge to its leaders. On October 11, 2023 the Wall Street Journal reported "Two former senior U.S. security officials called for military action against Hamas leadership allegedly being provided safe haven in Doha if Qatari authorities don’t hand the officials over to the U.S. or Israel. Ismail Haniyeh, president of the Hamas political bureau sanctioned by the U.S. under terror powers, allegedly oversaw from Doha the group’s strike against Israel over the weekend. Those responsible for orchestrating the attacks “are operating in plain sight and within reach in the hands of our purported major non-NATO ally Qatar,” said Mark Wallace, a former U.S. representative to the United Nations and head of the New York-based United Against Nuclear Iran. “We should not hesitate to act militarily on Qatari soil to bring to justice Ismail Haniyeh and Hamas leadership,” Wallace said. Frances Townsend, a top counterterror adviser to George W. Bush and head of the non-profit Counter Extremism Project, also joined the call for action. Neither representatives for Qatar in Washington nor the State Department immediately responded to requests for comment..."

On May 2, 2022 the Atlantic Council reported "On January 31, US President Biden told the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, that the United States would nominate Qatar as a “Major Non-NATO Ally” (MNNA). This status recognizes the bilateral security cooperation between the United States and Qatar has matured to the level beyond the already deep defense partnership rooted in the foundational 1992 Defense Cooperation Agreement, which enables US military access to Qatari military facilities, allows prepositioning of US armor and other military materiel, and supports US training of Qatar’s military forces. The status as a MNNA recognizes Qatar’s growing responsibility as a strong and enduring US partner in countering violent extremism, combating terrorism, and deterring external aggressors..."

Biden did not pressure Qatar to hand in Hamas terrorists currently living in Qatar. Qatar finances Hamas and shelters Hamas leaders Biden should have terminated the Defense Cooperation Agreement with Qatar and revoked Qatar's status as a "Major Non-NATO Ally” (MNNA) but he didn't. Biden did not change Qatar's status as Major Non-NATO Ally despite its support for Hamas.
How can Biden claim to support Israel while continuing to keep an allyiance with Hamas supporter Qatar? Hamas does not operate alone, Hamas pillars are Iran, Qatar and Turkey. Despite their support for Hamas, Biden's attitute towards Iran, Qatar and Turkey did not change after October 7. Turkey was not kicked out of NATO, sanctions were not reimposed on Iran, Qatar remains a "Major Non-NATO Ally”.
If Biden really wanted to support Israel he would have done something to weaken Hamas allyies Iran, Turkey and Qatar, he did nothing of the sort. Instead, despite Hamas October 7 terrorist attack Biden continues Obama's policy to turn Iran into a regional power.
When he was president Obama was interviewed by the NY Times and said “Iran Will Be And Should Be A Regional Power.”

The way politics works is, you end up dealing with people you need to deal with, regardless of what they do. Everyone treated Stalin like an honored statesman, even though he’d murdered millions. People deal with Xi even though he has, without doubt murdered a lot of Uyghurs. Possibly, he’ll wipe them out entirely, yet he’s going to San Francisco to meet with Biden. We deal with Biden even though no right-thinking parent would allow him near their child. Politics is politics.

We live in a world of punishing the people for the politicly unpopular mistakes of countries allowing them. You can’t go into a country and arrest the politicians, that’s called an act of war. Israel at the moment in one of the most hated countries in the world. They don’t need to go rogue and get themselves totally surrounded and attacked so their people are slaughtered. Hezbollah has over 150 missiles sitting on the Lebanon border as we speak just dying to make Israel look like Disney’s land on Saturday night in Israel right now.
Violating about every world organization by going into another country to arrest someone would be suicide. And more cannon fodder for Biden to say he tried to stop this in a civilized way. Israel is not only dealing with countries. They are also dealing with terrorists who don’t care, they just want the Jews eliminated slowly or quickly many in the name of Allah. That’s not caring. And the US is helping them.

I think Israel is going to use the Mossad and assassinate the Hamas leaders in Qatar. It should be easy to find them in Doha. They can use a bunch of passports from the EU. Assassinate the Hamas leaders. Then leave the country before Qatar figures out what's happening.

That’s why Shin Bet Director Ronen Bar, Mossad’s David Barnea, and General Aharon Haliva, IDF’s Military Intelligence Directorate aren’t going to escape disgrace, and maybe not imprisonment.
An attack on Turkey would be an attack on NATO so I don’t believe Israel would go down that rabbit hole, but war between Israel and Iran is probably inevitable if Israeli intel picks up any signs of readiness of nuclear weapons in Iran. The fact that no state of war exists tells me Israel does not believe Iran is close to having a nuclear capability. They surely wouldn’t wait for that day to arrive and take their chances.
It’s actually hard for me to believe it was just a failure, but I’m prone to believing conspiracy theories.
The scope and time element, in conjunction with those involved, is beyond me.
What a silly article. The US has global interests that extend well beyond Israel and these various interests need to be taken into consideration.
