History tells us the Republicans arose at the time when the Whig party was dissolving. So the Republicans quickly replaced the Whigs as the 2nd major party. And history tells us the new Republican party elected a president in 1860, only 6 years after they were founded.
While we have had two ,major political parties for most of our history, those two parties have not always been today’s Democrat and Republican parties.
I know some say you have to work within the existing Republican party, and drive out Rinos. We will all see how it goes.
If we keep re-electing Bush League Republicans we will get what we have always gotten, Assistant Democrats.
