President Trump’s mental acuity again became a hot button topic this week after the president boasted acing what many called an “easy” cognitive test.
“If you’re in the office of the presidency, we have to be sharp,” President Trump told Fox News medical correspondent, Dr. Marc Siegel, on Wednesday. “It was 30 or 35 questions. The first questions are very easy, the last questions are much more difficult.”
Trump said he requested the test “a little less than a year ago” to silence critics who have repeatedly called his mental fitness into question.
Trump cited as one of the “more difficult” questions one that required him to repeat a set of words in the correct order.

As long as Slow Joe is allowed to read the answers from a teleprompter, he should be able to get at least half way through it. I am not sure about the repeated words segment that could be tricky for him to keep his place.

It’s my understanding that this is not a pass/fail test. The results place the test taker in a spectrum. Dementia stages may be numbered, as to how many correct/wrong you have.
I heard Trump got all correct.

I took the test online, and the part about repeating back the five or six things is about the hardest, I think.

I think they are talking about the Montreal Cognitive Test. You can get it on line but heard it may not be available to public after Sept 2020.

3 words, asked to recall a few minutes later. If you’re not paying attention, which I wasn’t, it was easy to miss. I got 2 correct, and came close on the third.
Now, I’m on the alert and pay attention, but 3 words is infinitely easier than
the one DjT took and passed.

I think high score is 30 although you can get bonus point. Of the 5 words on the list I can remember the last two DAISY RED. Trumps right first couple question very easy (recognizing patterns,animal,etc, drawing clock 10 minutes after 11.) Then memory of numbers and letters, and words. Tapping your finger every time the doctor says a specific letter.
Well duh. The test isn't given to people until there is a real belief that they suffer from dementia. It's used to confirm the diagnosis so it's not surprising that most don't pass. Any person with normal cognative abilities will not only ace the test but will do so without any problems.
