Well, they would be disenfranchised, IF the impeachment process were successful - but that is a very big if: It won’t be successful.

An unsuccessful impeachment is our friend because (as you say) the voters DO NOT like to be disenfranchised.

The Democrats will pay dearly if they pursue impeachment, and fail.

Which they will.

I see a landslide shaping up.
