The only reason he'd want to focus on states he lost is to make his opponent worker harder than would otherwise be necessary.It seems to me that his focus should be on FL...PA...MI...and WI. I think that NC and OH are probably pretty safe. But come to think of it he might want to spend some time (and money) in Texas just in case there's any truth to the “Texas is turning purple” stuff.

Dems are going to be fired up and GOTV. GOPe, not so much. It’s hard to say how much that will effect the election. Ryan certainly gift wrapped 2018 for the Dems and you can expect Romney and co. to try to do the same in 2020. I expect POTUS will win a close race. It would be a blow out if his own party supported him but obviously that won’t be happening.
